Some neat things I have done lately....
-'stream bashing': no trails, just follow the river! kind of like the popular extreme tourism adventure of 'canyoning' but without the wetsuits or ropes, swam with my frame pack on, climbing up some postcard quality waterfalls too
-was the only female 'stream basher'
-learned about post-structuralism
-made potato corn chowder
-learned a maori song, 3 samoan songs, and a samoan sasa (sitting dance)
-got passed by a jogger pushing a baby carriage while biking into a really strong head wind
-bought textbooks
-spoke in spanish to chilean travelers
-made lots of money cleaning boats for a boat show
-spent lots of money on my first real dancing night out with kiwi climbing partner pete, tried some new zealand wines
-hiked up Rangitoto, a volcano island near Auckland
-went to Piha beach, famous for its surf and BLACK SAND
-learned that duck is considered red meat
-blogged
-made some new friends
-contacted some local organic farms where I may volunteer
That's about it, love you guts loads.
