I have been horrible and forgotten to credit my wonderful photographers. The New Zealand pics thus far have been from Cassi S. of Denver, CO. The extraordinary shots from Mexico are from amateur photographer Dan Gerson Rodriguez Casarez of Mexico City. Thank you thank you thank you.

This weekend, Cass, Freedom (yes a kiwi named Freedom)and I caught the ferry to Waiheke Island. It's not far from Auckland but has a much slower pace of life, lots of resident artists, vineyards, rich people on vacation... We camped at an olive farm/alternative preschool (emphasizing creative output rather than interalizing knowledge)/ campground. We explored the beaches, chased the ducks, ate many many fejoas (green tropical fruit that looks like a elongated lime but tastes like delicious), played uker, egyptian ratscrew and B.S., I mean 'i-doubt'it'. We went wine and beer tasting, got rained on, then cooked up quesedillas and refried beans because Freedom had never had Mexican! Here are some pictures...
